Oral LD50: Rats
(10.6-12.0 g/kg); Mice (9.24g/kg). No observable adverse effects were
reported in rats fed 5 mg/kg/day and mice fed 5.6 mg/kg/day for three months
and six months respectively |

Ecological Information |
|
||
Aquatic Toxicity: |
Harmless to
aquatic organisms. Do not contaminate waterways. |

Terrestrial: |
Oral LD50 : Male quail: 6.75 g/L. ; Female quail: 11
g/kg |
|
|
Persistence: |
Flupropanate is
highly soluble in water and immobile in soils probably due to adsorption onto
clay sols. It is resistant to biodegradation in the soil but is readily excreted
in animals. Sodium flupropanate administered to rats was not detected in
internal organs after 14 days. Sodium flupropanate when applied to white
clover at a rate equivalent to 19.3 litres per ha of TASKFORCE had reduced to 256 ppm in
plant residues after 3 months. |
|
|
Disposal: |
Triple rinse or preferably
pressure rinse containers before disposal. Add rinsings to the spray tank. Do
NOT dispose of undiluted product on site. If recycling, replace cap and
return clean containers to recycler or designated collection point. If not
recycling, break, crush, puncture and bury empty containers in a local
